Tall Sails Marketing Group

Tall Sails Marketing, formerly Great Lakes Marketing Group, works to bring both ships to ports and ports to ships throughout the Great Lakes. Our goal is to provide ships with a constant audience, while helping the community to develop long-term waterfront programs. These opportunities may include student, community and environmental education programs, waterfront festival development, grants and sponsorship recruitment. Through strategic marketing and communications, and as liaison between ships and ports, Tall Sails Marketing integrates mutually successful port visits.

Since 1998, Tall Sails Marketing has worked with over 25 vessels including the U.S. Brig Niagara (2002, 2004, 2008), HMS Bounty (2004, 2007 (England)) and Pride of Baltimore II (2008). We have produced or co-produced maritime festivals throughout the Great Lakes including Chicago (1998, 2000, 2007), Kenosha, WI (2003, 2004), Cleveland, OH (2000, 2001, 2003, 2007) and Green Bay (2007). Tall Sails Marketing has been an integral participant in the American Sail Training Association’s Great Lakes TALL SHIPS CHALLENGEĀ® Series, recruiting local and international vessels, ship hosting, volunteer training, and port festival development.
