Eastern Salt Company

Eastern Salt is a family-owned business operating on Boston Harbor in the City of Chelsea.  We are Massachusetts’ leading importer of road salt, and are able to accommodate all sizes and types of vessels, from tall ships to tankers.  Located in a designated port area, our facility is a five-acre site with a low-water depth of 40 feet. 

The City of Chelsea has always played an important role in the maritime history of Massachusetts, and we at Eastern believe in continuing to connect the citizens of Chelsea with her working ports.  To celebrate the relationship of community to ocean, Eastern Salt welcomes tall ships to our dock each summer for community groups, schools, and neighbors to tour.
