Blue Ocean Events

Formed in 2008, Blue Ocean Events works with communities in Atlantic Canada and along the New England Coast to develop their inherent maritime heritage and culture for sustainable economic development. Long a fan of Tall Ships and Heritage Vessels, company principal David Jones was inspired by his experience project managing TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® 2007 in Halifax and seven other ports in Nova Scotia. Services offered include strategic planning, program development and vessel readiness review for ports; Canadian Government Regulation consultation for both ports and vessels; and Coasting Trade license applications for vessels in Canada.

In 2008, David Jones and Blue Ocean Events provided support services for Pride of Baltimore II, the Schooner Virginia and Spirit of Bermuda.
