The Yorktown Waterfront
Riverwalk Landing is a beautiful waterfront development designed in the spirit of colonial architecture reflected in the town’s historic buildings. It features a variety of fine retail shops as well as a conveniently located two-tier 270-space parking terrace. The restored historic Freight Shed may be reserved for small receptions and meetings. The waterfront also features a performance area, an inviting beach and two floating piers – one to support larger vessels such as regional cruise ships and visiting tall ships, and the other for smaller personal watercraft. The pier has more than 1,000 feet of dock frontage and electrical, water, telephone, and sewer pump out hookups all provided pier side. A mile-long pedestrian riverwalk links Yorktown’s major attractions and provides exquisite views of the York River. Benches lining the walk offer visitors the chance to sit and admire the natural beauty of the York River. A free trolley runs daily spring through fall offering many stops throughout town and arrives approximately every 20 minutes to each stop. On many weekends throughout the year, visitors can enjoy live entertainment.
The Yorktown Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserve and perpetuate the special historic character of Yorktown (site of the last major battle of the American Revolutionary War in 1781).
