Rose Island Lighthouse Foundation

A mile offshore from Newport, RI, lays “The Little Lighthouse That Could.” Beyond the reach of the city's services and utilities, the restored, operating lighthouse is directly dependent on nature for rainwater and wind-powered electricity.
