Girl Scouts Save the Bay
The Girl Scouts of Northern California - San Francisco Bay Area are a local organization of the Girl Scouts of Northern California. The Girl Scouts of Northern California are chartered by the Girl Scouts of the USA. We provide support for Girl Scouting and Girl Scout Troops in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The area office, located in Oakland, California, serves five counties in the San Francisco Bay Area - Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo. Each county is divided into local organizations called service units or associations. Under the leadership of our CEO and our Board of Directors, we bring Girl Scouting to more than 27,000 girls and nearly 19,000 adults in our community.
The unique geography, landmarks and history of the Bay Area combine with the council's many program facilities to contribute to the amazing opportunities of the Girl Scout experience. Girls can explore marine tidal pools, hike on Mt. Diablo and sail on the Bay; not to mention experiencing the art, museums, theater, dance, music and food of all the cultures of the world.
