Winter Deck hands: There are two winter deck hand positions available for the 2018-2019 winter season, beginning on Thursday, November 1 and going through Saturday, April 14th. Duties include basic ship security, monitoring ship's systems, organizing the volunteers who come to do maintenance, and overseeing the quality of their work. Caulking the deck is a big part of the winter deck hand job, and is a great skill for your resume if you're planning a career on tall ships! This fall we will be replacing our cat heads, in addition to our normal maintenance tasks. Winter deck hands receive room and board in addition to a stipend.
