The schooner SULTANA is currently seeking a summer Cook/Deckhand for its 2010 sailing season. The cook is responsible for planning and providing well rounded and healthy meals five days a week for up to 16 people as well as being an active member of the crew. The position is for the duration of our 2010 summer live aboard programs, from mid-June through early August. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree and prior educational/sailing experience are preferred (though this is also an excellent position for the right college student.) Applicants should have strong communication skills and an active interest in education. Crew members work 5-day weeks, receive competitive compensation and are provided with a private bunk on board the schooner as well as space in SULTANA’s crew apartment in downtown Chestertown, Maryland.
