Depending on interest, skills and ability to develop sailing and ship handling skills, mates will be considered and trained for future captain or relief work. Experience on similarly sized and rigged vessels required. Experience in the daysail industry a plus. Mates should be physically fit, able to sail all day long and all day strong, well-spoken, thoroughly enjoy working with the public, be positive, enthusiastic and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow crew. Mates work side by side with and share all maintenance tasks with crew. Sailing season is May through October. Additional work helping commission and downrig available pre and post sailing season.

Deckhands should be friendly, well spoken, have good public speaking and presentation skills and knowledge of sailing basics. Experience on traditional vessels a plus but not required. Prior experience in hospitality, bartending, theater etc. a plus. Crew should be physically fit and have the strength and stamina to sail up to 5 trips per day at the peak of the summer. Crew share in all maintenance and cleaning chores and play an active role in sailing the boat. Must pass a pre-employment drug test. These positions offer a terrific learning experience in a fun environment. Not a liveaboard position however shared housing is easy to find.
