Lady Maryland is seeking an experienced Chief Mate for her summer trips to New England. Starting in late June, we will leave the Chesapeake for the cooler climes of New England where, working with live-aboard HS students, we will study estuaries and whale ecology. We run four 9-day sessions. Our program has a strong academic focus while students also participate in an exciting sail training program. Qualified candidates for the Chief Mate must possess a 100 ton NC (with aux sail) license, have previous watch leading experience, be familiar with radar, and have a strong desire to work with students.
