Mystic Seaport is seeking a mate for the historic schooner yacht Brilliant. Brilliant is owned and operated by Mystic Seaport and is a certified and inspected passenger vessel that has been engaged in sail training and education under sail since 1954. She travels New England waters carrying adult guests during the spring and fall and teenagers during her summer youth sail training programs. Candidates should have sailing experience, a good attitude and enjoy working closely with students of all ages. A coast guard license, first aid training, and shipboard skills such as painting and cooking are helpful. This position is a full-time, year round role broken into 6 months of maintenance and 6 months of sailing.
