Following haul-out in March, the 1885 Schooner Pioneer will operate daily in/around New York City from May- Oct. Her program is a mixture of education, general excursions & private charters. Deckhand's duties include routine vessel maintenance and inspection as well as active participation in all programing, including regular training sails with an active volunteer crew training program. ~40/hrs per week. While sailing experience is good, attitude and enthusiasm are key in the successful applicant's skill set. Transferable skills such as leadership and teaching and experience working wood, metal and paint will also receive favorable notice.
