OHP is looking for a chief and assistant engineer. The chief engineer should have extensive experience maintaining, trouble shooting, and repairing diesel engines and generators, water-makers, hydraulics, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. The assistant engineer should have a good working knowledge of these systems as well. Equipment is all new, so engineers must be proactive in developing preventive maintenance and monitoring programs. Chief engineer must hold a minimum of a DDE, and be experienced managing vessel systems and maintaining records to rigorous USCG standards. Position is available around April 25, and full-time is preferred, but temporary work may be possible. Pay is very competitive. Spring student programs are around New England, and summer programs are in the Canadian Arctic.
