Ken Neal

Ken Neal is the executive director and co-founder of Call of the Sea, a young San Francisco Bay sail training organization operating the Schooner Seaward.  Before returning to San Francisco two years ago, Ken was with the Sea Education Association of Woods Hole, MA for many years, most recently as Marine Superintendent and faculty captain.  His worked in sail training has been both ashore and at sea, including captain of a variety of vessels, including Seaward, Corwith Cramer, Westward, Robert C. Seamans, Spirit of Massachusetts, Harvey Gamage, and Californian.  Ken’s work with ASTA focuses on San Francisco’s involvement in 2008 Tall Ships® events, promoting Tall Ships America in California, and the Ship Operations and Safety Committee.
